What we do: Rocking trips

Whenever we’re both free, we plan a day-long trip – consulting maps, packing our gear and, most importantly, checking the tide schedules because the beaches along the Fundy coast are mostly flooded at high tide. If we don’t get there at the right time, we will have to wait for the tide to go out or get stranded if the incoming tide cuts us off!

Our Process

Our hand-picked stones include colourful agate, jasper and chalcedony and are sorted and tumbled in-house, literally – as you can see from the photo of our “rock room”, where we have 3 tumblers working 24/7.

Tumbling smooths any rough edges and brings out the beautiful patterns in stones and minerals. After about a month of going through various stages a mirror polish is achieved and the final product is revealed – each a one of a kind. Katie picks any she thinks are suitable for jewelry and Ellen sorts the rest for our rock collections and other products.

Our primary goal is to produce unique items sourced from the shores of the Bay of Fundy, sharing with our customers a little piece of the magical place we call home.
